Bedrooms
The Grove has 30 single bedrooms which are bright, spacious and comfortable. The rooms are homely, and residents are encouraged to personalise their room with photographs and ornaments.
There are currently 19 ensuite bedrooms, with 11 bedrooms having easy access to nearby bathroom facilities. There is a passenger lift/stairlift to access all three floors. Each bedroom has a nurse call system which indicates to staff when a resident needs assistance.
Main Lounge
We have a large modern, light and airy lounge area that has comfortable seating. There is a large wall mounted smart TV with surround sound system, above a beautiful ambient fireplace. Armchair exercises, quizzes and social events are just some of the activities that take place in this space.
Garden Room
The Garden Room is a large conservatory style area off the main lounge which provides a bright and warm seating area which can be used in all seasons. The room overlooks and accesses the landscaped garden.
Activity and Sensory Room
We have a brightly themed Activity and Sensory Room where residents enjoy a selection of activities including craft work, interactive table play and one to one reminiscence. External activities include trips out for coffee and cake in Solihull, lunch at a local garden centre and a large coach trip in the summer.
The room also includes a shop where residents can buy sweet treats, cards, and other items.
The Activity and Sensory Room has a large mural which was designed from the ideas of our resident group. The students at Solihull sixth Form College worked with these ideas and created a stunning mural.
The Dining Room
We have an attractively decorated dining room which is light and airy, a pleasant area where delicious meals are served. It is also an area where residents can sit and chat.
We celebrate birthdays with homemade cake and regularly have themed meals to recognise different cultures and specific dates during the year such as saints’ days. Our annual Christmas party is a particular favourite with the family and friends of the residents.
We cater to individual and specialised dietary requirements.
Green Room
The Green Room at the front of the building is a light and airy room with floor to ceiling windows. It is an area where residents can sit and eat their meals, chat over a cup of tea or coffee and watch the world go by.
